Plantation Original Dark is a blend of rum distilled in Barbados and double aged and a smaller quantity of aged high-ester pot-still Jamaican rum. The Barbados rum is aged firstly in the Caribbean in heavily charred American oak barrels, then shipped to Chateau de Bonbonnet in France where it is matured in medium charred French oak barrels.
